CHARLIE WEDEMEYER GAME - Three graduating seniors, Ryan Allemendi, Justin Miller and John Rak are being honored by being selected to play in the 41st Annual Charlie Wedemeyer All Star Football Game at Levi's Stadium on August 1st at 6pm. This game is a long standing tradition and has had a slew of participants that have been collegiate standouts and NFL stars. It represents the very best graduating football players from all 46 Santa Clara County High Schools. The Rotary Club of Almaden Valley has put this game on for nearly half a century. All Rotary proceeds go to charities locally and abroad. In the last 40 years, the Rotary Club has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to some amazing causes in need. This is our first year at the new 1.2 billion dollar Levi's Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children 18 and under. All tickets are general admission. All they have to do is go to www.santaclaraallstar.com to purchase tickets. For more details on the history of the game please go to the game web site at www.youthclassic.org.

Hello Homestead Community~

Construction of the Main Quad, Cafeteria and Classroom Building is now complete. The project includes a quad situated at the middle of the campus, which is the main thoroughfare for the campus, with an  exterior performing stage as well as numerous seating providing outdoor collaboration areas for student and staff to enjoy. The new Cafeteria and Classrooms Building includes a state-of-the-art kitchen, food service area, large indoor seating area for students, as well as an indoor-outdoor staff lounge.

We thank the Homestead community for the financial support which enables these new facilities to be constructed to provide a strong school environment for our growing student population.

Health and Safety Tip of the Week

Do not underestimate the power of rest. We all perform well when properly rested. It is important to get a good night's sleep before taking finals. Make time to sleep, you will test better if you sacrifice some of your studying for sleep.
