Congratulations Equestriettes!

The Equestriettes dance team has returned from Nationals with another win again this year! Congratulations to the girls on their recent success: 3rd place in the Varsity Dance/Pom division and on such a successful season.


 

HHS students earn honors in bioengineering competition

Congratulations to Melody Chen, Tara Joseph, Audrey Kim, Nikita Rajesh, and Anushka Saran for competing in the 5th Annual UC Berkeley Bioengineering Honor Society Competition and earning 2nd place in the Medical Engineering division and 3rd place overall in the video competition.  The competition consisted of 35 teams from Northern California and Nevada.  Their poster is titled "Transplantation of Stem Cell-Derived Astrocytes to Produce Neurotrophic Growth Factors for the Treatment of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis" and is the result of an intense seven weeks of research and preparation for the competition.

Looking for a fun, free, family biking event?? Please save the date for Cupertino’s Pedal 4 the Planet (P4PR) Family Bike Rides happening April 21st! These guided bike rides will start at 10 AM from City Hall and will end back at City Hall at the Annual Earth and Arbor Day Festival. There will be two rides, a long and a short, so that all rider levels are met. The rides are completely free and the City is providing bike repairs and free valet bike parking all day starting after the rides. For more information visit: http://bit.ly/2FLaWeo

In our ongoing efforts to improve the facilities at Homestead High School supported by Measure K improvement funds, we will soon be embarking on a new phase of an infrastructure modernization project at the front of the school, including an Innovation Hub that will house computer labs, digital arts, a maker space and more. Construction will begin during summer 2017.
