HOMESTEAD HIGH SCHOOL MUSIC BOOSTER BLAST!

DON’T FORGET TONIGHT’S PRACTICE – 5:30 to 8:30pm!

 

Despite the fact that there is no school on Monday, October 17th, THERE IS A MANDATORY FULL BAND MACY’S REHERSAL FROM 5:30 – 8:30pm.  This is a CRITICAL rehearsal.  All marching band and colorguard going to Macy’s MUST attend, as we are setting the drill for the first time.  Please contact Mr. Burn immediately by email if your student is missing any practice, football game, or performance.

Bring your instrument, shoe bag with clean shoes and socks

5:30pm           Arrive at Chabot, eat dinner, get into uniforms

6:40pm           Warm-up

8:42pm           PERFORMANCE

9:20pm           Awards, load bus for home

11:00pm         Back at Homestead (just a guess)

A MESSAGE ABOUT MACY’S

 

Flights and itineraries are still being finalized.  Vicki Feltman will be sending out this information in the next two weeks as soon as she receives final confirmation from World Projects.  Additionally, Vicki is preparing a detailed travel packet that will give detailed instructions on what to pack, how much money to bring and for what, when your child/children will have free blocks of time, etc…..It would be futile to send out any information at this time as that information will most certainly change.

 

Thanks for your understanding and patience in this matter.

 

 

LOST AND FOUND

 

A number of items were left at the Cupertino Tournament of Bands. If you are missing anything, please check the box just inside the band room’s main entrance.

 

 

SATURDAY’S VALLEY CHRISTIAN BAND COMPETITION AT CHABOT COLLEGE IN HAYWARD, CALIFORNIA

MEALS FOR MACY’S AT ARMADILLO WILLY’S – TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18th

The next Meals for Macy's event will be held at Armadillo Willy’s located at 10100 S. De Anza Blvd. from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on Tuesday, October 18thPlease print the flyer and bring it with you to the restaurant. The flyer will be uploaded to http://www.hhs.fuhsd.org/mbmain under Forms. There are also flyers in the band room. Fliers are good for dine-in and take-out orders. See you there!

 

 

CONCESSION PRE-ORDER FORM FOR OCTOBER 21ST HOMECOMING GAME

Hurry and get your forms in for the October 21st Homecoming game!  The deadline for concession pre-order forms is next Wednesday, October 19th at 8:30PM.

 

In addition to your favorites, concession has added three “new” menu items available for pre-order:     Veggie Burgers, Chicken Burgers and Root Beer Float.

 

If you would like to order food from the concession stand to eat after the half-time performance, please visit the HHSMB website at http://www.hhs.fuhsd.org/mbmain, go to the Forms page, and download the Concession Pre-Order Form.

 

Please return the completed Concession Pre-Order Form, along with a check, to

Vicki Feltman’s box.  You may place an order for one or more football games at any time.

< >Haircuts..haircuts...haircuts!!! There were quite a few with hair touching the top of the uniform collar. This is unacceptable. You must have your hair cut before the football game this friday. If your hair is too long, we will cut it for you or you'll need to use and pay for a hairnet.If you have any issues with your uniform, please contact a uniform mom during the week if possible. Don't wait until the half hour before you perform.You are responsible for having clean socks and gloves at each performanceRemember to wear a t-shirt with sleeves (no tank tops)Bring pep or field show shirt to wear after half time and after ToB showDon't forget your shoesThanks

10/15  Valley Christian Band Competition @ Chabot College

10/21  Homecoming Football Game #3 (v. Mtn. View)

        This is a non-competitive event, but the marchers are full of school spirit and you

         will want to see it!  The band dresses in their green band shirts and blue jeans. 

        The parade, consisting of the band, Colorguard, Equestriettes, gloats from each

        class, cheerleaders, and homecoming court, begins at the HHS Band Room after

        school. 

10/22  Gilroy Band Competition

        This is a “field show only” competition.  It is held at Gilroy High School (750 W. 10th

        Street in Gilroy, CA).  This is an evening competition, so the buses will

        depart HHS in the afternoon and will return later the same night.  Please go to

10/29  Dublin Band Competition

       This is a “field show only” competition.  It is held at Dublin High School (8151

11/4    Home Football Game #4 (v. Milpitas)

11/5    Home Marching Band Show @ Homestead Field!!

        This exhibition event at Homestead High School is a way to thank the families and

        supporters of the marching band and raises money for Music Boosters.  The show

        starts at 4:00pm.  Entry fee is $5.00/person.  Children under 10 are free.  A cookie

        and lemonade reception to follow.
