Homestead High School’s Mighty Mustang Marching Band is performing in the 2018 Tournament of Roses Parade on January 1st! This year’s parade theme is “Making a Difference” and  on their way to Los Angeles, the Homestead Marching Band will be performing for the children at Shriner’s Hospital in Pasadena, as part of their community service project.  They will be delivering donations of coloring books and coloring utensils for the patients at Shriner’s. In addition, they will be distributing “Love “, a body positivity coloring book recently published by Homestead High School senior Amanda Sun.   “Love” is available for purchase on Amazon and can be donated to the Shriner’s patients.
Additional coloring books and crayons can be dropped off in the collection box in the Homestead Main Office through Friday, December 15th. Donations after Friday need to be arranged with Vicki Feltman at vicki_feltman@fuhsd.org.
