The California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) will be administered Tuesday, March 18 and Wednesday, March 19 to all sophomores and any juniors or seniors who have not yet met the requirement. Click here for the special bell schedule for all grade levels.
If you are a parent of a sophomore please note that the exam is a requirement for graduation. Please be sure your student is at school on time both days. Also, please remind them to bring their student ID, or go to the ASB office for a $5 replacement card by Monday the 17th. Congratulations Homestead FBLA - Bay Section Leadership Conference Championship!
The Bay Section Leadership Conference is an annual regional conference where FBLA members from around the Bay Area gather to demonstrate their expertise in business knowledge, technology, presentation skills, and leadership. This year, the conference was held at Homestead High School on March 1st, with Catherina Xu, Homestead FBLA's Vice President of Conferences spearheading this event. Overall, Homestead FBLA accumulated a total of 561 points and fifteen first places at the 2014 Bay Section Leadership Conference. Despite 27 chapters in attendance and over 900 competitors, a significant increase in the number of competitors from previous years, Homestead still achieved its championship with 68 competitors from 27 different events qualifying to advance to the State Leadership Conference in Ontario in April.

Congratulations to Homestead's Winter Guard!
The HHS Winter Guard Team just placed 1st at their last CCGC competition and are enjoying another successful season! If you are interested in learning "The Sport of the Arts", we are looking to the fall and a new Color Guard season. We welcome incoming freshman and current students alike who are interested in joining Color Guard, attending band camp and making lots of new friends this summer! The future success of the Mighty Mustang Marching Band depends on an awesome Color Guard to add visual artistry to their musical skills.

Homestead's Varsity Basketball and Soccer Teams, and two Wrestlers advanced to post-season competition!
Homestead’s Varsity Basketball made it to the Final Four of the CCS Semi-Finals, but ended their season in a loss to Menlo-Atherton on Wednesday. Congratulations to the best season ever, Mustangs!
The Boy's Varsity Soccer team played their hearts out losing a close one to Bellarmine on Wednesday in their first CCS Semi-Finals in 19 years. What a great season they had!
Two of Homestead's Wrestlers, Peter and Arun, advanced to the CCS First Round Finals held on Friday 2/28 at Independence High School in San Jose. Congratulations to a great season!
Crab Feed 2014!
The Foundation Crab Feed fundraiser will be held on Friday, April 4th at 5:30 PM at De Anza College and will feature all you can eat crab as well as both a live and silent auction. Vegetarian meals are also available. Tickets are on sale via The Foundation website (www.fuhsfoundation.org) and at Homestead. Tickets are $40 each in advance, $50 at the door. Table Sponsorships are also available for $500 per table of ten and include premium seating, two bottles of wine and recognition in the event program. Health and Safety Tip of the Week
Thank you for following the parking lot safety procedures. Please continue to use the crosswalk and obey the traffic rules on the streets. Always use the crosswalk at Homestead and Mary to access the campus. Bicyclists and Pedestrians should never ride or walk down the entrance. Avoid serving detention by following the correct procedures. Please apply these rules before and after school.

Are you looking for after school homework help or are you interested in being a tutor and helping your peers succeed in various subjects? Then the Academic Center is the perfect place for you! Please fill out the appropriate attached application form (tutor or tutee) and return it to your Dean of Students, Mr. Moore or Mr. Dong.
Tutoring is available for all subjects Monday - Thursday from 2:30-4pm in the Library.
Math and Science tutoring is also available Monday - Thursday from 3:15-4pm in B101 (Math) and C107 (Science).
